Alabama has long been known for its amazing diversity of living plants and animals, however, few are aware of the remarkable fossil record in the state. From dinosaurs to fossil whales to giant Ice Age Ground Sloths, Alabama is quickly becoming known as one of the best states in the U.S. in terms of fossil diversity. Join Jun Ebersole, Director of Collections at McWane Science Center, in a virtual tour of Alabama’s amazing biodiversity, both past, and present, with highlights on the various new fossil species recently discovered in the state.
